API-LOGO

A work created with the living, not merely placed among it.

API-LOGO is a 260 cm sculpture of Apollo, permanently installed at the Orto Botanico di Roma (Sapienza Università), connected to a network of monitored beehives that study the bees' own "grammar" — the coded language of their movement and sound.

The sculpture becomes a threshold between the human and the more-than-human: a classical figure inhabited, in real time, by a living colony whose signals are recorded and studied as the piece stands in the garden.

A second video chapter of the project is currently in development, and API-LOGO is now in discussion to travel to other sites beyond Rome.

API-LOGO is permanently installed at the Orto Botanico di Roma, Sapienza Università di Roma, since 2026.
